All of that leading-edge experience went into these Oversized 6-1/2″ 4-ways, and you’ll instantly hear the results in your vehicle. Better technology, better performance: instead of conventional materials, we used a laminated polyester fiber in our new balanced-dome midrange, the same material used in the high-end REV-series speakers. The key to this material is that it is 30% lighter than conventional materials. That difference in weight means faster and more accurate response, for exceptionally clean, detailed music.The TS-A1781R now handles a full 250 watts max. power (50 watts nominal). So, what did we have to give up? Not a thing. Along with bigger power handling, you still get the same high performance that all the TS-A’s deliver. The Oversized 6-1/2″ design is a perfect fit for many GM and Chrysler vehicles, and takes full advantage of the application with a larger cone for more powerful bass performance than a typical 6-1/2″ speaker. For added install compatibility, a 3-hole adapter for use in many Chrysler vehicles is included.
